Recommendations

The Commissioner, Wage and Investment Division, should, based on the results of the nonwork SSN pilot conducted in Processing Years 2018 and 2019, implement a process to systemically identify and evaluate tax returns filed by individuals who have nonwork SSNs to prevent erroneous refunds of EITCs and ACTCs.
