The Commissioner, Wage and Investment Division, should ensure that the Stakeholder Partnerships, Education, and Communication (SPEC) function generates and reviews all monthly SIDN reports throughout the filing season to identify sites using invalid SIDNs. Once identified, ensure that actions are taken to resolve the use of an invalid SIDN or that a referral is made to the Return Preparer Office as warranted.
