Man Threatens to Kill IRS Employees

In July 2026, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, a criminal information was filed against Dale Ankney for influencing, impeding or retaliating against a federal law enforcement officer by threat. According to court documents, Ankney advocated acts of violence against IRS employees via Facebook and in person. In March 2026, Ankney posted, “KILL any and all IRS agents that comes to the door of a GOOD CITIZEN that’s not in debt like the government. Get who’s not paying their fair shair first [sic].”

If convicted, Ankney could receive up to 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine not to exceed $250,000, and 3 years’ supervised release.
